Probably the best South Indian restaurant in Hampton roads.
I am going to write a detailed review, because it was worth it.
Dining Experience:
Authentic south indian dishes with good flavors. If you want authentic tamil nadu style dishes, this is probably the only place in town I would recommend. Tried their Chicken pepper fry, mutton chukka and many other dishes at different times. I would give a hearty 5/5.
Catering Experience:
They were very flexible and very reasonable with pricing. If you want authentic Jeeraga samba briyani, this is the only place I would recommend in Hampton roads. Try it, you will not be disappointed. The only catch, you might have to pre order a whole tray as they have to do it exclusive. But its worth it. They also gave the food in trays in a hot pack that stayed warm throughout the event. Once again a hearty 5/5 rating.

I had mixed feelings writing this review because I genuinely wanted to love this place, and honestly, I still think there’s a lot of potential here. The flavors are clearly there, which is what makes this experience frustrating more than anything else.
The first dish I had to try was the chicken biryani. I ordered it spicy, and to their credit, they absolutely delivered on the spice level. The flavor profile was very close to authentic Hyderabadi style and had a lot going for it. However, the issue was the quality and portioning of the chicken. All of the chicken pieces were burnt, and the portion itself felt very underwhelming for the price. I only received a very small drumstick and a small thigh, which would maybe be understandable if the meat quality had been excellent, but serving burnt pieces at that price point just doesn’t feel justified. If there were an option to pay extra for additional meat, I honestly would have done it.
The second dish was the spicy shrimp Manchurian noodles. Again, the flavor itself was good. The seasoning and spice were there, but the shrimp portion was extremely inconsistent. I could barely count three whole shrimp in the dish, with a few scattered cut-up pieces throughout. It made the dish feel incomplete and uneven.
That’s really the theme of my experience here: the flavors show real promise, but the execution and portion consistency hold it back. This isn’t a review coming from someone who disliked the food. It’s coming from someone who can genuinely see the vision and wants the restaurant to tighten up the details, because with better consistency and fairer portions, this place could be excellent.

Really delicious and authentic Indian food, the best in Tidewater! We had excellent Paneer Manchurian appetizer, and Korma shrimp and Lamb Saag as entree's. Wonderfully spiced and with appreciate heat levels as we requested. We will be back soon!!!

Wow this place is amazing. I haven't even left and I'm leaving a review. Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Chicken Johl Momo.. all were amazing. Not even going to mention that garlic naan 🤤🤤🤤
Service was amazing too, super nice people. This place should be packed!
My only complaint is that they don't have kheer!! The dessert we tried was really tasty though.

Just had a lunch in Curry & Kebab Indian Cuisine, after staying for more than 1.5 yrs in Virginia Beach, i came across this awesome restaurant which gave me the Authentic Indian taste back. So happy that I found this place.

My friend found this hidden gem and we will definitely be back! The food was amazingly delicious, our waiter, Nikhil, was very friendly and helpful, and portions were ample!
The restaurant was not very big so it may not be the best for a large party but it's still doable because we saw them accommodate a couple large parties while we were there. Also, I'm not an expert on Indian food, though I am a lover of it, but we saw several Indian families in here, so I am quite sure the food is very authentic. Definitely delicious, and the spice level is adaptable to your tolerance.
Although my friend and I wanted to keep this place all to ourselves, we had to leave a review so this place gets plenty of business and is around for a long time!

Food prepared fresh and hot. Welcomed immediately as we entered. Delicious food. Loved the chicken manchow soup, onion samosa and goat gongoura. Casual restaurant very clean. The food was so good we also ordered dinner to go.

Tried the paneer tandoori and it was amazing. The chicken chettinad and garlic naan were authentic. Seating area is a bit small, but will be back for sure just for the tasty food!

Delicious Food, but the Website is Misleading
I had a bit of a "expectation vs. reality" moment here. On one hand, the heart of the experience—the food and service—was very good. The staff was cordial and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and good.
However, a word of caution regarding the atmosphere: The restaurant looks nothing like the images on their website. The online images appear to be AI-generated or heavily stock-filtered, showcasing a sleek, high-end ambiance that simply doesn't exist in person. If you’re looking for the specific "vibe" portrayed online, you’ll be disappointed.
The Bottom Line: Go for the vindaloo and the garlic naan, but ignore the website images. It’s a solid spot for a meal, just don't expect the decor to match the digital storefront.

I had a disappointing experience at Curry and Kebab.
I placed my order a full hour in advance and arrived right on time for pickup, expecting everything to be ready. Instead, I was left waiting for more than 30 minutes with no proper explanation or urgency from the staff. It felt very disorganized and poorly managed.
On top of that, the portion sizes were noticeably smaller compared to other Indian restaurants in the area, which makes it hard to justify the price. The food itself was just average—nothing special that would make up for the poor experience.
What stood out the most was the lack of basic courtesy from the staffs. There was no sense of customer care or professionalism.
Food: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Service: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
I wouldn’t go back to this place based on my experience.

This was our first time ever trying Indian cuisine so we were unsure what to expect and was unfamiliar with the menu. The man who took our order was very helpful. His suggestions were perfect! The chicken tikka masala and vindaloo was so good and the garlic naan was delicious. Will definitely go back and explore more of the menu 😊

Mango Lassi, any and all Lamb dishes. Most incredible Indian food ever. Everything is so good. Have only tried 18 different things, but all of them have been absolutely incredible!! So excited to try the entire menu!!

YUM!! I am so happy to have a high-quality Indian food restaurant half a mile from me. I no longer have to get my favorite Peshwari naan and Gobi Manchurian all the way in Norfolk. Welcome to the Neighbourhood and thank you. It’s so delicious.

Food is very tasty.. pani puri was yummy , Panner butter masala and lamb biryani very made authentically butter roti is very soft and nice we tried veg fried rice even that’s made me remind similar to what we used to have in India . Management is very friendly

I went here last Wednesday (15/April)
The food was amazing and delicious, I order the Lamb Rogan Josh which was yummy and I also got the Crispy sesame Califlower and it tasted good(there's a bit of an spice kick which I liked). One thing I really liked about this place is how we get out own individual rice bowls instead of sharing with whole table it was enough portions for each person and had us leaving fulfilled. The waiter was amazing, he was very nice and kind ,he was very ,he made sure everything was okay and would help explain some of the dishes. Definitely would come back here and recommend to friends and families 😊

My only regret was not taking photos of the food! I went with several people and we ordered a variety of things to eat family style and everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Among the dishes we tried were the chicken kabob, lamb tikka masala, chicken tikka masala, mango mint chicken, lamb biryani, butter chicken, the bread basket (mixed types of naan) and the gajar ka halwa. I know there's one or two things I'm missing in there. Everything was aromatic and spiced beautifully and tastefully with its own distinct flavor profile. All the meat was cooked to perfection, still extremely moist and very flavorful. The biryani is one of the best I've ever had, as was the tikka masala. The mango mint chicken was a delicious highlight.
The atmosphere is very casual and takeout friendly with a convenient parking and the owners and staff are attentive and warm. It's not a large space so calling ahead would be a good idea. They can accommodate putting tables together easily for bigger groups. You can tell this is a family place and it's a labor of love.
I can't wait to go back as the menu opens up to try more things like the dosas. Definitely give this place a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Tried this new Indian biryani spot and loved it. I ordered the Goat 🐐 Biryani with medium spice, and it definitely had some heat. Let’s just say I barely made it pass my second plate as that pot is a wholesome mix! My eyes watered a little, but my hair wasn’t melting and my nose wasn’t sweating, so it was just right for me! The sauces were flavorful, and the Kashmiri naan (Bread Basket) was so good and unlike any naan I’ve had before. It gave sweet potato pie wrapped up in Naan 🫓 vibes, and I mean that in the best way! They gave 4 large slices, but after the first bite I couldn’t stop eating... (hence only 2 in picture) Charge it to the Hunger Games of belly-popping fame😊. For around $20 to $30 including tip, I’ll definitely be back.

Amazing food! We went the very first time on Saturday for dinner. I had the Salmon Curry Tikka Masala (something I've never had before) and my friend had the Curry Mango Mint Chicken (which he had never had before). We also got an order of butter Naan to share. The food came out in ornamental metal bowls and with bowls of rice. We also each got a Mango Lassi. I then managed to find room for a Gajar Ka Halwa for dessert. Everything was incredibly good - fresh and full of rich flavors and a perfect mixture of spices. The best Indian food I've ever had. Our server was incredibly nice and friendly, recommending dishes (we definitely will listen to him again) and being very attentive. We can't wait to go back and plan to work our way through the whole menu, one visit at a time. If you like Indian food, you have GOT to go here. If you've never tried Indian food and want to - start with Curry & Kebab!

Absolutely top tier experience. My family ordered a spread to share—garlic naan, mango mint chicken, butter chicken, lamb tikka masala, chicken 65 to start, and a carrot dessert—and every single dish delivered. The flavors were balanced, rich, and clearly made with care. The chicken 65 had the perfect kick, and the mango mint chicken stood out as something unique and really well executed.
What really set this place apart was the staff. I love Indian food but wanted to branch out, and they guided us with some very nice recommendations that paid off.
This is easily our new favorite Indian restaurant in the 757.

Omg!! The food here is outstanding. My husband, Grandson and I enjoyed every bite. The chicken Hot and Sour soup excellent, Spicy, flavorful..We order Chicken Tilka Masala,Shrimp Tilka Masaka,Garlic Butter Naan, Karampodi Chicken . If you love Indian Curries, please visit here. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Everything is made fresh and homemade. Yummy. We met the Chef that prepared our feast. Thank you for the excellent food ,great service and atmosphere was warm and friendly.

I am so happy this location has opened. The first time was during their soft opening and I got butter chicken and mango lassi. I told my friends and we went for lunch the day after- I got the chicken dum biryani. A friend ordered a dish (chicken mango mint) that looked like it contained cream (she can't eat dairy or gluten). I told them that I'll take it. Then I wanted to try something new- chicken korma. Recommended by one of my coworkers.
I am not disappointed! The staff are great. I do not know much of Indian food, but so far, so good. Cannot wait to try everything on the menu!
